Assignment
Each step in a workflow is an individual assignment that a contributor can work on. Assignments contain one or more tasks. Each assignment has its own interface, instructions, workforce and settings.—
Batch
A batch is a file of workflow items that you import into a specific workflow. A batch contains your inputs, which are the values you give to your contributors so they can complete each workflow item.—
Contributor
A contributor is any user who completes work on the OneSpace WorkStation platform. (See: Private Contributors: The Basics)—
Inputs (You Provide)
The inputs contain the information you provide to contributors in order for them to complete work. You import your inputs. (See: Workflow Data: The Ins and Outs of Inputs and Outputs)—
Outputs (They Deliver)
The outputs contain the information contributors deliver when they complete work. You export your outputs.—
Private Contributors
Private contributors are contributors you invite to work on your projects. Private contributors complete your tasks on the OneSpace WorkStation platform and are paid for on a per-seat basis.—
Proficiency
Each assignment has a proficiency associated with it. A proficiency is a mechanism for managing contributor performance on a specific assignment.—
Proficiency Level
Each contributor is assigned a proficiency level for each assignment based on their performance.The four levels are:
- Beginner
- Intermediate
- Advanced
- Expert
Project
A project is the most general categorization of the work you execute on the OneSpace platform. Each project contains a workflow. Projects are for your internal use only.—
Task
Tasks are the individual units of work contributors complete on the OneSpace WorkStation platform. Assignments contain one or more tasks. Tasks within an assignment are claimed and submitted simultaneously.—
Team
A team is a group of contributors. You can create your own teams, or you can choose from teams of contributors curated by the OneSpace team. You can limit access to assignments based on teams.—
Template
When setting up a new workflow, you have the option to use a template. You can choose from a variety of templates based on your project needs.Each template is fully customizable, but certain settings and fields are prepopulated for you, such as:
- Number of steps (assignments)
- Inputs and outputs
- Instructions
- Task interface
- Settings
Workflow
A workflow is the complete path a work item must take before it is completed. A workflow can contain one or more steps. Each step is an individual assignment that a contributor can work on.—
Workflow Data
The workflow data is the workflow's inputs and outputs. (See: Workflow Data: The Ins and Outs of Inputs and Outputs)—
Workflow Item
A workflow item is a piece of work that needs to be completed by going through the steps of a workflow. A workflow item can go through multiple steps and can contain multiple tasks.—
Workflow Step
Each step in a workflow is an individual assignment that a contributor can work on. Assignments contain one or more tasks. The assignment name is what appears to contributors when they are searching for work on the OneSpace WorkStation platform.—
